Would You Trust an Apprentice with a Million Dollar Lead?
Recently, I was having a conversation with a builder about
the importance of web copy.
I asked him:
Imagine you get a lead tomorrow. A hot lead. Someone who’s willing
to invest $5 million in a property with you.
Would you send your apprentice out to talk to the prospective client?
He said: No way!
I said, so why…
When there are dozens of people visiting your website each day…
Are you sending an apprentice out to greet them?
He got it – instantly.
You see, marketing has changed over the last decade or two in a big way.
Whereas previously prospective clients would grab 3 numbers out of the
yellow pages, have 3 meetings, and then decide on one business…
Now they do 80-90% of their research online, reading dozens of blog posts,
watching Youtube videos, etc.
And you don’t even get the phone call.
So is your web copy a world class salesperson?
Or is it an apprentice?
